-DONATION PLS DAY 2-
The very last St John flag sale I did was last Sunday 25th March 2007 together with my classmate Zhuang Tak. Andy was suppose to join us but unfortunately his dad took the car away and so he had no mode of transportation, and Mei Fang’s mum didn’t allow her to go out. But Zhuang Tak and I went on ahead with the flag sale, and I really didn’t have the heart to cancel it because this is our last chance to do the flag sale as we had to submit in our tins on this coming Saturday, and this is Zhuang Tak’s very first and last time doing this. We went to Sarawak Plaza, between Coffee Bean and KFC. As Michael would put it, we “extorted” money from passerbyers that were coming in and out of the plaza.
Extortion at Sarawak Plaza
For some reason, this location is considered as “unstrategic” by the old members. I however, find this place to be quite a good place to “extort” money. We had great response from the members of the public, even the tourist donated some money to us. We are actually not allowed to ask them to donate because they are here to play and have fun. But these people have the heart of gold. A few Australians, a guy from Switzerland and another from Holland and some others generously donated some money. Even a couple of Nigerians who were studying in INTI College put in some money into my tin. Ain’t that sweet? There were also two very very generous people who put in a nice RM10 into my tin!
Zhuang Tak, my partner in crime......
So there was just the two of us standing outside the plaza. We did however, run into a group of St John members from our school. But they didn’t stay to help as they went off to other places like Riverside and Parkson Grand. Zhuang Tak and I were invited along, but I felt that the place where we were standing was much better than the places they were heading to. Call me crazy for thinking so, but I have 5 empty sheets of paper which once had 60 stickers each to prove it to you!
I had an “interesting” encounter with a couple donors who were, erm, “pondans”… haha… they were so funny, I tried my very best NOT to laugh at them! I know its kinda mean, but what can I do? Very farny bah… What was so strange about them was that they dressed like ladies, sound like ladies, but unlike the other typical “pondans”, they were totally flat chested. Haha… Oh dear, I wonder how people nowadays can walk around town like that…
Anyways, we were having fun “extorting” money from others on our own, that is, until a group of “kepoh” St John members from SMK Batu Lintang came to our turf and tried to steal our customers away. I was so annoyed because Zhuang Tak and I were there first and we had first dibs on the place. But anyway, we just carried on “extorting” money from people. We were so very lucky because we got more donors compared to them. I suppose they were turned off by the silly pouting look the Batu Lintang girl had on her face as she tried to “extort” money from others. HAHA… And another thing is, we were standing near the door (but we kept a safe distance to avoid being kicked away from the security guards) while they stood near the stairs. It was a stroke of luck as that time, there were more people going out of the plaza than going in!!! Brilliant, brilliant… lolz…
They left after a while and Zhuang Tak and I stood victorious!!! I was so happy and glad that we stood our ground and didn’t budge from the spot. I was “nice” to them because I knew one of them, Anthony, whom I used to play tennis with. Zhuang Tak and I carried on happily “extorting” money from the people UNTIL our turf was intruded by another group by Batu Lintang members. This time, no mercy from me. I keep giving them the black eye… haha… They stood by the doorside and I was hoping that the security guard would throw them out. But unfortunately, that didn’t happen. Since the “kepoh” Batu Lintang people were standing by the door, Zhuang Tak and I took on the people who were entering the plaza. I was so annoyed I wanted to throw my heavy tin at them! Haha.. jk… But for some odd reason, it just so happens that there were more people going into the plaza than out! And most of the people who came out of the plaza had donated to me earlier on. They tried to get clever and moved closer to the front but I outsmarted them! Lolz… Just like the first group, they left and Zhuang Tak and I were once again free to “extort” money from everyone… I guess it just goes to show that you get nothing when you try to steal from me!!! Haha… Apparently, Ning Jian and the gang encountered the same problem when they were at Saberkas the day before. They had a clash with kids from SMK Sg. Maong and SMK Green Road or Kuching High.
Sometime later, our St John President, Sin Chern, ran into us with her brother.
Sin Chern and
Zhuang Tak I had to leave at 4 something because my mum wanted to wash the car or something like that. By that time, my tin was so full that people were having problems stuffing RM1 notes and coins into my tin! Wow… lolz… When I reached home I did a little calculation and I estimated that there were more than 200 people I “extorted”. Not bad, considering we were standing outside the plaza from 12pm till 4pm… I had fun anyway. Given the chance, heck, I just might do it again… lolz…

Haha.. yes!! exams are over! finally.. one week long of stress.... when it comes to exams, i take them very seriously, well, sort of.... i've been "studying" since the holidays last week.. but i was mega shocked to find out that most of my classmates didnt even open their books during the holiday.. what did they do?
haha... the hardest subject of all was... i dunno.. it seemed pretty levelled to me.. chemistry however, bluek... i didn study the experiments at all.. i had no idea they were going to come out.. for our paper 3, we were suppose to plan an experiment for the decomposition of Hydrogen Peroxide...
since i didn know how to decompose hydrogen peroxide, i just simply made up the experiment, which is in reality unapplicable for this experiment.. haha... but thank God i read the enzyme experiments for my bio paper3... i hope its enough to redeem my structural questions that i didnt know how to answer, as usual.. haha.. my physics paper was ok.. i also made up the experiment. cant blame me this time, cuz we've never done this experiment in school as the school has "financial problems" to fully equip the physics lab with experimental sets.. either that or i just wasn't paying enough attention to my teacher... haha.. thank God for my physics tuition teacher though.. she made Chapter 1 Waves easy-peasy to understand.. haha... i just had my add math 3hours ago.. i'm not sure how that went cuz i didn really do any exercise to revise the chapters.. i just look through nia.. hehe..
oh well, tomorrow i might be going for flag sale again with Mei Fang and the others.. i'm suppose to SMS Ning Jian tonight.. huargh.. haha... next week i'l still be busy with the school mag stuff.. sigh.. haha.. what to do... i knew what was coming when i signed up to join the school editorial board.. not that i'm complaining or anything. i enjoy every moment of it.. that is, until i start losing my hair... haha.. anyway, til next time...

Then my genius aunt and bro had this whacked idea to arrange the matchstick (yes, not candles...) vertically close to each other.. They wanted to light one end and was hoping for a chain reaction across the matches..
Well, experiment failed...
Nevertheless, he's still enjoying his cake....Yvonne: next time u come back, u ask Papa to BBQ, specially for u lo... haha

-DONATION PLEASE!!!-
My St John Tin... license to collect... lolz
Lol... yesterday i followed Andy and Li Hui for St John flag day at Sarawak Plaza. Due to an "unfortunate miscommunication", Andy told me to go at 1pm instead of 9am.. Lolz.. Doesnt matter cuz i had fun anyway.
When i just arrived at Sarawak Plaza, i went down to H2o, the foodcourt, to meet up with Andy and Li Hui who were having their lunches.. I walked down there through KFC and surprise surprise.. i saw Ning Jian, Daisy, Kat and Ziat Sze who just attended some sort of carrier seminar..
Kat and Ziat Sze munching down on their burgers... yumz...
Ning Jian @ Jenny/Eugene and Daisy eating... Tsk tsk... Scandal..... Joshua's not going to like this... haha.. just teasing...
Haha...... you cant hide from my camera Ning Jian.... After that little scenario, i went off to H2o and waited for Andy and Li Hui to finish their lunch..
Andy eating a little Japanese meal
Sweet smiling Li Hui over a bowl of Laksa
Lolz.. are my frens cute or what? Unfortunately, after lunch Andy had to leave for swimming lessons, so Li Hui and i joined the other St John members. We went to the back of Sarawak Plaza and i stood at the stairs.
I tell you, some people are quite generous. They'd put in RM1 or RM2. They'd even stop for a minute just to fish out of their purses. God bless these people. And then there are the ultra stingy people, tsk tsk tsk... You have rich people coming out of the complex, carrying Adidas shopping bags, yet they wont even give you 10sen.. Goodness me.. There were even times when people saw me standing at the top of the stairs with the tin in hand and scavenging for people to make a donation, these stingy people took the alternative route into the plaza (down the stairs).. Crap... Other than that, there were people who were so very generous. There was an Indian man who put in a whole load of coins in and also put in two RM5... wow... haha..
I didnt stand at the back all the time. A little while later, i went to the front (between Coffee Bean and KFC) with the rest. They went for a little break and i was solo for about half an hour or more. The responce was awesome. I think about more than 90 people donated to me in just 2 hours!! Amazing isnt it? It was fun. The whole time i'd be smiling and say "Donation Please..." lolz.. I'm going to do it again and next time, more pictures!!!

sigh... mum just told me that i cant go for the camp.. cuz our agreement is Pn. Voon must go, then i can go... so, Pn Voon cant go because she has Girls Brigade activity/camp going on durin the same time as the camp... oh well... mayb i can follow Jia Seng and the other prefects out to Permai... sounds like fun, i guess.. but goin out with Jia Seng and the guys is like going out with a bunch of insane monkeys.. very unpredictable... but thats the fun thing about them... haha.. this camp is exclusive for us prefects who are committee and the ketua unit... not fair right? haha... thats the other fun part of it... lolz..
i guess since i'm not going for the iscf camp, i can spend time working on the magazine with Sanda and the others in the graphic department... we gotta do a bang-up job.. thats my goal..
i went to St John meeting this afternoon.. i had fun.. in first aid, we learn how to carry ppl... LOL.... so funny... my frens and i keep carrying Rowena and Siew Chen, cuz they're the lightest.. haha.... catherine gave me a piggy back ride.. its fun, but my muscles hurt at the end of the day, well actually, that would be exagerating.... haha... we have to be involved in the St John Flag Sale... starting 13-31 march.. so if u see me around trying to sell the lil stickers, buy one from me ya!!! lolz...

huargh... this week very tiring.. next week will be worst.. i'm busy with the school magazine, and next week is photo taking sessions... i guess i'l have to be at every one of them cuz i know what i want the students to look like in the pix... oh by the way, i'm this year's editor... *sobs* so kinteo..... Jackeline keep telling me not to be kinteo.. how not to be since she cant join anymore.. i need her so very-belly much in the graphics section.. but i trust Sanda lar... hopefully we'll come out with something smashing this year..
i'm giving the magazine a total face-lift.. a little nip and tuck here and there... but i wont go into details because u guys are going to have to wait till the final thing comes out!! lolz...
there's going to be a camp in the hols.. two actually.. hopefully i can go to the iscf camp.. its national level and will do wonders for my cert collection and my kk marks... so if i go for that camp, i wont be joinin the prefects at permai... Jia Seng not very happy with this.. keeps giving me "the black eye"... haha.. anyway, i really need to go to the iscf camp cuz i feel kinda lost in my relationship with God, since my parents don allow me to go church... so all my brothers and sisters out there, pls pray for me ya!!
